enerAl notes on sAfety
This operation manual is applicable for the machine RO-
TAR. The machine may only be handled by personnel
who are qualified.
Hold power tools by insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation where the cutting tool may con-
tact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a «live»
wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool «live» and
shock the operator.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future refer-
ence.

The machine is intended exclusively for use as a hand-
held tool for grinding or polishing without the use of water.
Electrical safety: A grounding connection or grounding
with a fault current switch is required.

The machine is intended exclusively for use as a hand-
held tool for grinding or polishing with or without the use
of water. Electrical safety: With 42 V isolation transformer
only.
Make sure that only SUHNER products are used as flex-
ible shafts, hand tools and abrasives. Flexible shafts with
connection thread M14 (type DIN15).

This machine may not be used for work which
does not serve for the abrasive surface machining
or refining of metals or non-metals and near com-
bustible liquids, gases or materials.

rior to tAking the mAchine into service
2.1.1 s
upply mAchine with power
Before connecting tool to a power
source, be sure the voltage sup-
plied is the same as specified on
the name plate of the tool. Plug power
connector into power outlet. The power cable is to be fit-
ted with a matching power connector with the correct
phase configuration (making sure that the direction of ro-
tation of the motor is correct) by an licensed electrician.
