Installation
Mounting the Pump
Using the rubber dampening feet, bolt or screw the pump to a solid surface in a dry area with adequate
ventilation and easy access for cleaning, maintenance, and service. For best performance mount within
6 ft (1.8m) of the water tank. Mount the pump horizontally, or if vertically, with the pumphead facing down.
The pump is not submersible.
Horizontal Mounting
Installing the Plumbing
Use of flexible, braided hose rated for high pressure and of a size corresponding to that of the included port
fittings is recommended. Do not use rigid or plastic piping to connect pumps as this transmits vibration and
stress and causes noisier performance. Attach the hose firmly to these fittings using a proper hose clamp.
Insert the fittings o-ring side first into the pumphead and then push the retaining clips in to secure the
fittings. A Flojet 40 Mesh strainer should be installed on the intake side of the pump. The pumphead will
have an arrow on it indicating flow direction. The vast majority of pumps are left to right as shown below.

WARNING SAFETY PRECAUTION: Prior to activation, ensure that the hose clamps,
discharge hose and retaining clips are properly connected and are properly connected and fully secure.
Connecting to a Power Source
Proper wire gauge and fuse size based on the maximum current draw, the wire length, and any relevant
regulatory standards must be used. Current draw and fusing information is shown on the pump label.
Correct connection of the positive and negative leads to the power source is shown below.
