Blockage in the suction line.
en
Leakage in the section of the suction line between
the SILENT flow sensor and the extraction unit.
Determining the cause and measures can be carried out in the order shown
After every measure, you should switch on the extraction unit again and check whether the minimum flow
rate is again exceeded so that correct operation is possible again
⇒ Work should only resume after the fault has been rectified and the minimum flow rate is exceeded
again It is also the case with multi-workbench extraction units that work must be interrupted at all con-
nected suction points until the fault is rectified.
5.2
Checking function
Every day when beginning your work, check the function of the SILENT flow sensor as described in Sec-
tion 45 and 46
6
Cleaning / maintenance
The unit does not contain any internal parts that require maintenance.
6.1
Cleaning
Disconnect the power plug!
To clean the unit, only wipe the outside with a damp cloth
Do not use any solvent-based or abrasive cleaning agents
6.2
Cleaning the suction tunnel
The inside of the unit must be cleaned once a year
Disconnect the power plug!
Do not use compressed air!
Compressed air irreparably damages the sensitive measurement equipment.
Using compressed air to blow off deposits of dust is generally not permitted.
⇒ Withdraw the end bushing from the inlet and outlet nozzle
⇒ Unscrew the inlet and outlet nozzle and wipe out using a dry cloth
⇒ Clean the suction tunnel using a dry cloth or a bottle cleaning brush
⇒ Screw the inlet and outlet nozzle into the SILENT flow sensor again fully until stop.
⇒ By rotating, insert the end bushing of the ends of the suction hose back into the inlet and outlet nozzle
until stop
6.3
Effectiveness of the measurement equipment
The effectiveness of the measurement equipment must be checked annually as described in Chapter 4.5
and 46
Cause
- 10 -
Measure
• Check the suction line at all disconnection points / ser-
vice openings section by section for blockages
• Check that the outlet nozzle of the SILENT flow sensor
has been fully screwed into the SILENT flow sensor
until stop and that the end bushing of the suction tube
is fully inserted into the outlet nozzle
