correctly, the device cannot be
switched on.!!!
Recommended speeds
for different drill sizes
and materials:
TENSIONING THE V-BELT
1 - Release the locking bolt on the
gear cover (8).
2 - Open the gear cover (8).
3 - Release the retaining bolt (13)
on the motor unit (14).
4 - Slide the motor unit (14) back
to tension the V-belt (26).
5 - The V-belt (26) is correctly
tensioned when it gives way slightly
when pressed.
6 - Tighten the retaining bolt (13)
on the motor unit (14) again.
7 - Close the gear cover (8).
Fasten the locking bolt (11) on the
gear cover (8).
ADJUSTING THE DRILLING
BENCH
1 - Release the locking handle (24).
2 - Push the drilling bench (20)
to the desired height.
3 - Pivot the drilling bench (20)
to the desired position.
4 - Fasten the drilling bench (20)
again with the locking handle (24).
5 - You can also adjust the tilt angle
of the drilling bench (20).
To do this, release the retaining
screw (19) under the drilling bench.
Tilt the drilling bench (20)
as desired to the right or left up
to a max. of 45° and secure
the drilling bench (20) again with
the retaining screw (19).
PRESELECTING
THE DRILLING DEPTH
1 - Move the red arrow to the „0"
position on the drilling depth scale
(3).
2 - Turn one of the drill lifting arms
(9) anti-clockwise and move the
spindle (6) to the desired drilling
depth.
3 - Screw the stop nut onto
the desired point on the depth scale.
Tighten the fixing nut against the
stop nut. Read off the red arrow on
the drilling depth scale to help you.
4 - Move the spindle (6) slowly
back to the stop position.
5 - Adjust the drilling bench (20)
until the workpiece is resting against
the drill tip.
CHANGING THE BIT
!!!Remove the plug from the
mains socket before changing
the bit. This will prevent an
accidental start-up!!!
1 - Fold the safety device (7) up.
2 - Release the retaining jaws of the
drill chuck (4) with the drill chuck
key (29).
3 - Remove the bit.
4 - Insert a new bit.
5 - Tighten the retaining jaws of the
drill chuck (4) with the drill chuck
key (29).
6 - Affix the hole chuck key (29) on
the holder again (10).
7 - Check that the bit is centred.
8 - Fold the safety device (7) down
again.
!!!Under no circumstances must
you leave the drill chuck key
(29) inserted.!!!
DRILLING
1 - Turn the appliance on.
2 - Turn one of the drill lifting arms
(9) anti-clockwise.
3 - The drill chuck (4) is lowered.
4 - Drill into the workpiece
at the appropriate feed rate
and to the desired depth.
5 - Be aware of any necessary chip
breaking on the way to the desired
depth.
6. Move the bit slowly back to the
stop position.
GENERAL INFORMATION
!!!The feed rate and spindle
speed are decisive for the
service life of the bit.!!!
- The cutting speed is determined
by the speed of the drill spindle and
by the diameter of the bit.
- In principle, therefore, the larger
the bit diameter, the lower
the speed that should be selected.
- For workpieces of greater
strength, the cutting pressure must
be higher.
- Repeated withdrawal of the bit
enables easier chip removal.
- Chip removal is especially difficult
in deep holes. Reduce the feed rate
and speed in this case.
- To avoid excessive wear on the
cutting surface of the bit, for drill
