5 Safety regulations
• The installation may only be used once this user manual has been
read.
• The door to the maintenance room must be closed at all times and
may be opened by authorised persons only.
• The installation has been designed to operate in a frost-free
environment. If the system freezes up, its functionality must be
thoroughly checked.
• The installation works automatically by means of sensors.
• Safety items including safety gloves, clothing, goggles, etc., must
always be available for the operating and maintenance personnel.
• It is strictly forbidden to smoke, eat or drink while operating and/or
carrying out maintenance on the installation.
• Incorrect operation and use of the installation may cause damage to
the system.
• Do not use the installation after it has been damaged. Have it
inspected by an authorised installation engineer and repaired as
necessary.
• Overburdening the wash basins as well as sitting on or place objects
in the wash basins is not permitted.
Caution
The transfer, locating and initial commissioning of the installation must
be carefully carried out. Transfer or initial commissioning that is
incorrectly carried out can be dangerous for both people and the
environment. Expert installation and maintenance are preconditions for
trouble-free operation.
Caution
Each product manufactured by Elpress BV leaves the factory only after
having been tested. If the equipment is not going to be installed
immediately, it should be stored in a dry and frost-free area that is
suitable for its design structure.
• Our installations are suitable for use with alkaline / alkaline
chlorinated cleaning agents. Our products are suitable for
disinfectants based on a quaternary, ammonium. Other chemicals
can only be used after consultation with Elpress.
• Elpress recommends a water supply according to the Directive
EC98/83 (on the quality of water intended for human consumption).
The safety precautions on the water supply need to comply with local
rules and regulations. This is the responsibility of the enduser.
• When Elpress refers to 'stainless steel', unless otherwise stated, it
concerns SAE 304 / AISI 1.4301.
