A) Low battery indicator (comes on when
battery is low)
B) Backlight "On" symbol
C) °C/°F symbol
D) Maximum temperature value
(continuously updated while the unit
is on)

F) Scan/Hold indicator
In the scan mode, the backlit LCD dis-
plays both the current temperature (E) and
maximum temperature (D) in Celsius or
Fahrenheit (C). The unit will hold the last
reading for 7 seconds after the trigger is
released; the word HOLD appears (F). The
presence of the battery icon (A) indicates
a low battery.
