Special safety directions
This eccentric sander is intended for use on
wood, metal, plastic and similar materials.
Not suitable for wet sanding.
Always use sandpaper suitable for the size of
the sanding pad and the nature of the job.
Ensure item is secured before sanding.
Never use the eccentric sander to sand
materials containing asbestos or gypsum!
Sparks can be generated when sanding
metal surfaces. Avoid using in � ammable
surroundings and in the vicinity of � ammable
materials and � uids.
Keep the cord well clear of the working area.
Fitting sandpaper
Select a sandpaper with the appropriate
grain size for the task.
Use sandpaper with a low grit number for
coarse sanding and sandpaper with a high
grit number for � ner sanding.
Place the sandpaper (1) so that its holes (4)
are in line with the holes on the sanding pad
(5).
Press the sandpaper against the sanding
pad's hook-and-loop surface, and make sure
that it is � rmly in place.
Use
Attach the dust collector (6) onto the dust
extraction spigot.
Keep � ngers clear of sanding pad and
connect sander to the mains.
Place the sanding pad against the work
piece.
Hold the eccentric sander with both hands
on the handle, and turn it on by pressing the
on/off button (2).
Adjust the speed depending on the nature of
the work by turning the speed selector (3) to
a position from 1 to 6.
Give the sander time to work. It is rarely
necessary to press the pad hard against the
surface to be worked.
Lift the eccentric sander from the work piece
after use, and turn it off by pressing the
on/off button.
Avoid blocking the ventilation holes with
your hand, as the eccentric sander can
otherwise become overheated.
Emptying of dust collector
The dust collector should be emptied before
it becomes completely full.
Remove the dust collector from the
vacuum connector. Dispose of the sanding
dust carefully and in accordance with the
regulations that apply in your municipality.
Place the dust collector onto the eccentric
sander before you resume work.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the eccentric sander with a damp cloth
after use and always keep its upper surface
and ventilation openings free of dirt.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents, as they may attack the plastic parts of
the machine.
