Eutectic Refrigerators and Freezers
8.Maintenance and Cleaning
WARNING
ATTENTION: For equipment with the R600a refrigerant, the appliances are
labeled with the (flammable gas) symbol
operation must be performed by technicians duly qualified to handle
hydrocarbons.
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the appliance from the
power source by removing the plug from the source outlet!
Do not use sharp metallic objects to remove the ice. Do not use hair dryers or
other electrical heating appliances for defrosting. The use of these appliances
may destroy the electrical insulators and damage the refrigerant circuit and
presents a risk of electric shock and refrigerant leaks. The equipment must be
completely dry before connection to the power source.
To ensure normal operation of the food preservation equipment, the following
aspects need to be observed:
• Do not obstruct the free circulation of air around the appliance.
• Do not use mechanical devices that are not recommended by the
manufacturer to accelerate defrosting.
• Do not destroy the refrigerator circuit.
• Do not operate electrical appliances that are not recommended by the
manufacturer in the compartment for storing products.
For hygienic reasons, complete defrosting of the equipment once or twice a year
is recommended to remove any accumulated ice and then clean the equipment's
interior. Ice accumulation is a normal phenomenon. The quantity and speed in
which ice accumulates depend on environmental conditions and the frequency in
which the doors are opened.
