recommendations. Use a firm grip tools and adopt the proper position of the body and hands, this will allow you to resist the forces
generated during the rebound. Always use the additional handle, if it is provided with the tool, this will the ensure maximum control
during the rebound or unexpected turn, when you start the tool. The operator is able to control the rotation or rebounding of tool,
if appropriate safety precautions are taken. Never place your hand near the rotating parts of the tool. The rotating elements can,
during rebound, come in contact with the hand. Do not stand in the zone, in which the tool moves when it rebounds. Rebounding
will drive tool in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the grinding wheel, at the point of seizure. Be extremely careful
when working on corners, sharp edges etc. Avoid tamping and jamming of the grinding wheel. While working on corners or edges,
there is an increased risk of jamming of the grinding wheel, which leads to loss of control or to rebounding of tool. Do not use discs
with the cutting chain or disk saws. Blades cause frequent rebounding and loss of the tool control.
Warnings related to the grinding and cutting with the grinding wheels.
Use only grinding wheels designed to work with the tool and use guard designed for a given type of grinding wheel.
Grinding wheels, for which application the tool was not designed, cannot be properly guarded by and are not secure.
The guard must be securely attached to the tool and set the position to ensure maximum safety, so that the smallest possible area
of the grinding wheel is unveiled in the direction of operator. The guard helps to protect the operator from broken grinding wheel
fragments and prevents accidental contact with the grinding wheel.
Grinding wheel must be used in compliance with its intended purpose. For example: do not grind with the grinding wheel intended
for cutting. Cutting grinding wheels are intended for peripheral loads, then lateral forces applied to the grinding wheel can cause
its disintegration.
Always use undamaged mounting flanges, that are the right size for a grinding wheel. The proper flanges, which are clamping
the grinding wheels, reduce the possibility of damage to the grinding wheel. Clamping flanges for cutting grinding wheels may be
different than the clamping flanges for abrasive grinding wheels.
Do not use worn grinding wheels from larger tools. Larger diameter grinding wheel is not suitable for
greater speed of the smaller tool and may break down.
PRODUCT SERVICE
Attention! All adjustment and assembly activities should be carried out when the grinder i disconnected from the compressed air
installation. Accidental activation of the grinder can cause serious injury.
Adjusting the grinding wheel guard (II)
Grinding wheel guard is fastened with screws to the tool head. As the holes are drilled every 45 degrees, it is possible to install
the grinding wheel guard in several positions. However we should remember, that each time the grinding wheel must be screwed
with at least three screws spaced every 90 degrees. All screws should be firmly tightened so the grinding wheel guard will be
locked. You should periodically (not less frequently than every replacement of the grinding wheel) check the degree of tightening
the screws. Set the guard of the grinding wheel, so the not sheltered part of the grinding wheel will be as far as posssible from the
hand of a grinder user. Never work with the grinder without correctly mounted grinding wheel guard!
With the grinder there is supplied a guard to provide adequate protection only when grinding using grinding wheels and discs,
which are using sandpaper and some types of wire brushes. After installing the accessory on spindle, the accessory must not
project beyond the side guard. In the case of performance of any other type of allowed work, you should contact the manufacturer
to acquire the guard intended for this kind of work.
Installation of the auxiliary handle(III)
The handle should be screwed into the hole located in the cylinder head of the grinder. Screw firmly and tightly.
Installation of grinding wheel
Install the top mounting flange on spindle, by screwing it using the wrench with pins, and blocking the rotation of the spindle with
a.flat wrench.
Mount the grinding wheel on the spindle and on the upper clamping flange. The hole of the grinding wheel must be aligned with
the diameter of the protruding part of flange. Screw the bottom mounting flange on the spindle. By blocking the rotation spindle
by a flat wrench, tighten the lower mounting flange with the wrenches with pins (IV). Then remove the wrenches from the spindle
and flanges.
When the mounted grinding wheel is equipped with a threaded hole, you should remove both mounting flanges from the spindle.
Lock the spindle with a flat wrench, and then mount the grinding wheel in accordance with the instruction, which is attached to it.
The location of the mounting flanges
Please pay attention, that grinding wheels, in the point of mounting to the spindle, can vary in their thickness. Depending on the
applied grinding wheels, which are thin (thickness up to 3.2 mm), or thick (thickness above 3.2 mm) the positioning of mounting
flanges (V) is different. The diameter of grinding wheel must not exceed 6 mm.
Attention! Configuration of the mounting flanges allows only thin grinding wheels with a hole diameter of 16 mm. For the device
with a hole of diameter of 22 mm there can be mounted both thin and thick grinding wheels.
