Instructions for Use
MABS Connecting Cable and Flexible, Reusable MABS Probes
Treatment agents
You may use either pH-neutral or mildly alkaline agents for cleaning (like the ones permitted
for processing surgical instruments). For neutralization, we recommend the use of citric or
phosphoric acid-based agents.
Cleaning temperatures
The cleaning-stage temperature should not exceed 50–55°C (122–131°F).
Please observe the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your cleaning machine (wash-
er) as well as those given by the manufacturers of the cleaning agents used.
ATTENTION!
As liquid may penetrate into the tube of the probe during the cleaning process, we recommend
purging the lumen with compressed air after cleaning. To do this, loosely apply the cleaning
adapter of your compressed-air gun to the probe connector (2). Never purge in distal-to-
proximal direction!
Steam sterilization:
The MABS probes and the MABS connecting cable are autoclaved at a maximum tempera-
ture of +134°C (273°F).
Always disconnect the probe from the connecting cable prior to sterilization!
Hot air sterilization:
ATTENTION!
Gas sterilization:
Gas sterilization cannot be recommended because the required aeration times have not been
evaluated for this product.
