2. GS501 Balboa Control System
1) Initial Start-up
Your SPA will enter Priming Mode (Pr) when it is energized. During Priming Mode(Pr), press"JETS"button
repeatedly and be sure all pumps are free of air. Priming Mode (Pr) lasts less then 5 minutes. Press "TEMP"to exit.
After Priming Mode(Pr), the SPA will run in Standard Mode.
The pump responsible for heating and filtration (pump 1 low-speed on non-circ system, or the circ pump on circ
systems) will be referred to simply as the pump.
In multi-button sequences, if the buttons are pressed too quickly in sequence, they may not register.
2) Temp Control(80F-104F/26.0℃-40.0℃)
The last measured water temperature is constantly displayed, and the current water temperature be displayed
when the pump has been running for at least 2 minutes.
To display the set temperature, please press the "TEMP" button once. To change the set temperature, press the
button a second time before the display stop flashing. Each press of the button will continue to either raise or lower
the set temperature. After 3 seconds, the display will stop flashing and show the current water temperature. If the
opposite direction is desired, allow the display to revert to the current water temperature. Press the button to
display the set temperature, and again to make the temperature change in the desired direction.
3) JETS
(1)operation with circ pump: Press"JETS"to turn pump on or off, and circ pump work in low-speed will turn off
after 4 hours, surfing pump/massage pump work in high-speed will turn off after 15 minutes. Circ pump in
low-speed may run automatically at times, during which it cannot be deactivated from the panel, but surfing
pump/massage pump in high-speed may be operated by button.
(2)operation without circ pump(equipped with two-speed pump): )Press "JETS" to turn pump on or off, also can

equipment stays on 4 minutes after the sensors detect that
the spa temperature has arisen to 45°F/7.2℃ or higher, An
optional freeze sensor may be added to protect against
extraordinary freeze condition. Auxiliary freeze sensor
protection is advisable is colder climates. See your dealer
for details.
