Pipe interrupter
Safeguard drinking water from contamination.
The drinking water quality must not be affected by bath water flowing back into the
drinking water system. To prevent contamination, a pipe interrupter must be installed
between the concealed shut-off fitting and the bathtub inlet. Local standards and regu-
lations must be observed.
Note: The pipe interrupter is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered
separately!
Backflow situation:
If an underpressure situ-
ation should occur when
the bathtub is filled,
there is a risk that water
from the tub will flow
back into the drinking
water system.
