WARNING
To reduce t he risk of fire, elect rical shock,
injury to persons, or damage when using t he air condit ioner,
follow basic precaut ions, including t he following:
• Read all of t he inst ruct ions before using t his appliance.
• Plug into a grounded 3 prong out let .
• Do not remove ground prong.
• Do not use an adapter.
• Do not use an extension cord.
• Do not operate t he air condit ioner if it has a damaged
cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been
damaged or dropped.
• Haier does not support any servicing of t he air condit ioner.
Refer to warrant y informat ion for refund or exchange
opt ions.
WARNING
• Do not use means t o accelerat e t he defrost ing process
or t o clean, ot her t han t hose recommended by t he
manufact urer.
• The appliance shall be st ored in a room wit hout
cont inuously operat ing ignit ion sources (for example:
open flames, an operat ing gas appliance or an operat ing
elect ric heat er.
• Do not pierce or burn refrigerant t ubing. Be aware t hat
refrigerant s may not cont ain an odor.
• Keep vent ilat ion openings clear of obst ruct ion.
• When handling, inst alling, and operat ing t he appliance, care
should be t aken t o avoid damage t o t he refrigerant t ubing.

How to Insert t he Batteries in t he Remote Cont rol
• Remove t he bat t ery cover by sliding it according t o t he
arrow direct ion.
• Insert new bat t eries, making sure t hat t he (+) and (- ) of
bat t ery are inst alled correct ly.
• Reat t ach t he cover by sliding it back int o posit ion.
Caut ion for Ingest ion. The battery may cause suffocat ion if swallowed by children.

• Service of all ot her component s may ONLY be completed
by a qualified technician.
• Disconnect power before servicing or cleaning.
NOTE: Turning off power by pressing t he Power but ton does
NOT disconnect t he appliance from t he power supply.
• Do not inst all or use t he air condit ioner in any area where
t he at mosphere cont ains combust ible gases or where t he
at mosphere is cont aminated. Avoid any chemicals coming
in cont act wit h your air condit ioner.
• Do not store anyt hing direct ly on top of t he air condit ioner.
• Use t wo or more people to move and inst all air condit ioner.
• Never operate t he air condit ioner wit hout t he filters in
place.
• Do not use t he air condit ioner near a bat ht ub, shower or
wash basin or ot her wet area.
• Do not drill holes in t he unit .
• Maint enance, cleaning, and service should only be
performed by t echnicians properly t rained and qualified in
t he use of flammable refrigerant s.
• GE Appliances does not support any servicing of t he air
condit ioner.
• Dispose of air condit ioner in accordance wit h Federal and
Local Regulat ions. Flammable refrigerant s require special
disposal procedures. Cont act your local aut horit ies for t he
environment ally safe disposal of your air condit ioner.
NOTES:
• Use 2 "AAA" (1.5 volt ) alkaline bat t eries. Do not use
rechargeable bat t eries
• Remove t he bat t eries from t he remot e cont rol if t he
syst em is not going t o be used for a long t ime.
•
Do not mix old and new bat t eries. Do not mix alkaline,
st andard (carbon- zinc) or rechargeable (ni- cad, ni- mh,
et c) bat t eries.
