4. TECHNICAL ADVICE
The issues described below do not necessarily mean a fault with the display.
Please check the following elements before submitting a request for repairs.
Issues
No picture and no sound
Set-up connection incorrect. The device's power switch is in the OFF position.
No signal
Check if the camera is powered. Connect the monitor and the camera again.
No sound
Check whether the sound volume is too low or switched off.
Dark picture
Check that the brightness and contrast are set correctly.
No colour
Check the HUE settings (colour).
HARDWARE TEST
To conduct the test, simply :
- Put the different devices in place.
- Connect the devices without definitively plugging the connections together.
- Connect the command cables if necessary (reverse, output, etc.).
- Switch on the system.
- Choose your language via the MENU button.
- Test the function of the components together.
- Adjust the camera(s) to get the desired angle (viewing angle).
- If you are satisfied by the functioning of the system, install the devices and connect the connections
definitively.
PERMANENT CONNECTION
When installing electrical connections :
> Use crimping pliers to connect the cables.
> For permanent connections, solder the ends of the cables then insulate them.
> For ground connections, fasten the cable with a ring cable lug and connect to a
grounding screw on the vehicle with a toothed washer, or screw it onto the metalwork of the vehicle.
> Check that the grounding connection has been done correctly.
> Avoid attaching cables to moving parts (e.g. steering column, rack and pinion, pulley, etc.).
> Are not rubbing against metal edges.
> Are not placed in sharp-edged passages without protection (use a cable sleeve or a cable gland).
- Insulate all the connections and all the couplings from water and dust.
- Protect the cables from any mechanical constraint by affixing them.
Make sure all the connections are correctly carried out.
> Any attachment of the camera's automated command cable to the ground is forbidden, the device risks
being damaged. It is particularly important to insulate the stripped ends of the command cables when these
are not being used and are therefore disconnected.

5. DISCLAIMER
We recommend that you have your equipment installed by a professional. Failure to observe the instructions
might result in damage to material and affect the proper functioning of the device. It might also compromise
people's safety. AMS will not assume responsibility if these instructions are not followed. The video kits are
video systems aimed at facilitating or surveying the operation of tools and machine tools.
AMS DIFFUSION cannot be held responsible for uses other than those mentioned below. The manufacturer
is not liable for any damages which may result from:
> Assembly or connection faults.
> Mechanical influence and overvoltage damaging the device.
> Changes being made to the device without explicit authorisation from the manufacturer.
> Different usage than that described in the instructions.
> Use while driving.
Please respect the conditions of use of screens:
To not respect the installation and usage regulations of a screen device in a vehicle is an offence (depending
on the legislation in force in the country of use) and may lead to a fine and court fees.
The screen must be directly affixed to the vehicle or held in place by a fixed support. Driving requires all your
attention and concentration. However, using a device with a screen while driving may be a considerable
source of distraction, even if it offers driving assistance. When a driver can see the information displayed on
the screen from the driver's seat, screen use is permitted if the driver respects the screen's installation and
usage conditions. If you have to programme or enter data, do it BEFORE you take to the road.
Please respect the following advice when working with electrical components:
> When checking the voltage in electric cables, use only a diode test lamp or a voltmeter. Test lamps which
light up may damage the vehicle electronics and trigger the airbag.
> Do not use lustre terminals for your connections.
Improper electrical connections may result in short circuits which can cause:
> Cable fires.
> Triggering of the airbag.
> Damage to electronic control equipment.
> Failure of electrical functions (blinkers, brake lights, horn, ignition, lights).
Dispose of packaging in the appropriate recycling bins.
When your device is definitively out of order, please ask your nearest recycling centre or your specialist dealer
about the applicable disposal regulations.
