ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Batteries
1. Insert the batteries (12) on the groove and slip them
all the way until you hear a "click" noise from the
lock/unlock button. At this point, the battery is
locked in place;
2. To remove the battery, press the lock/unlock button
and pull out the battery;
Use VITO 20V lithium-ion batteries.
Charging the batteries
1. Place the battery in the charger in the same way as
you would place it in the appliance;
2. Plug the charger into the socket and let it charge.
Sometimes at the end of charging, both the battery and
the charger can be hot, which doesn't mean they
malfunction.
Let the battery cool down before putting it in the
electric chainsaw.
Guide bar and saw chain
Caution: The saw chain has very sharp cutting
edges. Wear protective gloves when fitting it.
Caution: Remove the batteries each time you
tension or change the saw chain. Always wear
protective gloves. To remove the cover, lift the lever
(11) and loosen the nut by turning it anticlockwise.
Attach the guide bar (2), by aligning its hole with
tensioning bolt.
Insert the chain (1) into the guide bar (2) and the
sprocket. Pay attention to the direction of the saw
chain.
While holding the guide bar, put the chain cover on and
tighten the nut, using the lever (11), until the bar is
pushed against the electric chainsaw body. Then turn
the saw chain tensioning knob (10) clockwise, leaving a
gap of 5-7mm between the bar and chain. When you
have this gap, tighten the nut firmly and put the lever
back into its original position.
Important: The saw chain must always have
proper tension. This prevents guide bar wear and
ensures a more perfect and safer cut.
