MAINTENANCE
Our pumps need no maintenance provided that the
following caution measures are observed.
When there is risk of freezing, empty the pump
removing the drain cap set in the lower part of the
pump body. Assure the pump is choked when starting
it back. Regularly check the foot valve. If the pump
will be inactive long periods of time (for example, in
winter) it is advisable to empty it completely. Rinse
the pump with clean water and store in a dry place.
If the shaft is not turning freely release it using a
screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver in the special slot
placed in the pump rear side (Fig. B).

Never carry out jobs in the pump if not disconnected
first from the power supply.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
The motor is not starting.
The motor is turning
without pumping water.
Insufficient flow speed
The motor overload cut
was activated.
If the previous caution measures are not followed the pump may get damaged and the warranty is void.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
- There is no power.
- Stuck driver.
- Clogged filter
- Excessive suction height
- Air in the admission
- The suction height is in the limit.
- Filter partially clogged.
- Overheated motor
- Stuck Driver
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The installation technician is responsible to make the
electric connections into the power supply in
compliance with the corresponding mandatory rules:
• Be aware that the international rules require that
the fixed installation incorporate a device assuring
the Omni polar disconnection from the power
supply.
• Make sure that the specifications in the nameplate
regarding the pump capacity and the capacity
values in the line are equal (Fig. C).
• Connect the pump into a physical ground circuit
and then connect the phases in accordance with
the diagram in the terminal block cover, or in the
nameplate.

• Our one-phase motors are protected against
overload using a thermal devise (overcurrent cut)
set in the motor winding.

SOLUTION
- Check the connections and voltage values.
- Clean the filter.
- Shorten the suction tube length.
- Make sure the foot valve is submerged at the
least 1.6 ft
- It is necessary to choke he pump once more.
- Check the suction height.
- Shorten the suction pipe length.
- Clean the foot valve and the whole suction
pipe if necessary.
- Check tension and ventilation.
- Release the driver (see the maintenance
section).
