Quick Start
Your CR30 recorder has been preset to operate using the
most popular settings.
Recording Time: 7 day
Pressure: -1 to +1˝ Water Column
Pen and a chart have already been installed for your con-
venience. All you need to do to start using your CR30
recorder with the settings listed above is follow these quick
start instructions:
1. Set the appropriate time by inserting a coin into the
groove of the chart hub and turning clockwise until the
correct hour and day on the chart is referenced to the
timing clip (See "Instrument Anatomy" on p. 3, if you
need assistance locating instrument parts).
3. Attach the plastic hose to pressure ports on back of
Installation
Wall Mount Keyhole slots are provided on the CR30 for wall mounting.

Operating Information
Hose Installation
Plastic hose has been provided to enable the simultaneous
pressure sensing of two different pressure areas. Hoses
must be kept off the ground and away from potential
sources of pinching and binding.
1. The white plastic hose should be attached to the pres-
sure sensor ports on the back of the instrument (See
"Instruction Anatomy", p.3). The hoses slide into the
ports and snap in. The hoses may be placed as desired,
making sure they are not being pinched and are not lying
on the ground.
2. To obtain a positive reading monitor the higher pres-
sure area with the port marked "low" (positive) and mon-
itor the lower pressure area with the port marked "high"
(negative). The recorder will give a reading indicating the
pressure difference between the two areas. If the read-
recorder and place appropriately. (See "Operating
Information)
4. Remove the protective pen cap from pen and store cap
on pencap holder.
5. Press the "On/Off" key and the pen will move to the
current reading.
After you get started using the "Quick Start Instruction",
we recommend that you also read the rest of the manual
to ensure that you get the most out of your instrument.
Warning: Do not overpressurize the sensor. The maximum
pressure the sensor can withstand is 1˝WC.
Power Supply: 120V AC adapter with 4 "D" batteries for
back-up power
Note: Response time is slower when using battery power
source.
Calibration: User calibration of zero
Alarms: Audio/visual - high and low(delayed)
Mounting: Free standing or wall mounting (keyholes)
Dimensions: 10.5˝ x 13.2˝ x 2.8˝ (26.7cm x 33.5cm x
7.1cm)
Weight: Approximately 7 lbs. (3.1kg) with batteries
ing is positive, then the port marked "high" (positive) is
monitoring higher pressure than the port marked "low"
(negative). If the reading is negative, then the port
marked "high" (positive) is monitoring lower pressure rel-
ative to the port marked "low" (negative).
3. To disconnect hose, press in the grey pressure port
sleeve and remove hose. (See "Instrument Anatomy",
p.3)
Power Supply
Dwyer recommends using AC power with four "D" batteries
installed as a back-up power source. This ensures that your
recording will not be interrupted when there is a power fail-
ure. When the instrument is using battery power, the unit will
update very slowly to extend battery life. The 120V AC
adapter plugs into the back of the recorder beneath the
pressure sensor.
