Dip Switch Set-Up
Every time you change a dip switch setting, you must push
the up arrow key on the keypad to activate the new dip
switch settings.
Recording Time
The CR30 has four different recording time options: 1 day,
7 day, 14 day and 31 day. Dip switches #1 and #2 control
the recording time.

Note: Remember to install correct chart to match corre-
sponding switch setting. (See ordering info for chart avail-
ability.)
IN/WC
You can record in inches of water column (IN/WC) with the
CR30 by using dip switch #3

Calibration
Your instrument was carefully tested and calibrated before
being shipped from the factory. Additional calibration is not
required. However, should field calibration be desired in the
future, use either an electronic pressure instrument recently
calibrated at a certified lab or simply adjust zero to ambient
equilibrium pressure. (i.e. .000)
User Calibration
1.Turn the unit on.
Pen Installation
When pen replacement becomes necessary, use the fol-
lowing procedure:
1. Use your thumb and forefinger to grasp the car-
tridge by the grip near its tip.
2. Gently lift the cartridge slightly and slide it off
the pen arm.
3. With the pen tip facing the chart, and the new
pen cap on, thread the pen arm through the sleeve on the
underside of the pen. Slide the cartridge back until you feel
the notch in the pen arm seat securely around the plastic
portion of the pen tip.

Pressure Range
The CR30 will record in four pressure ranges. Dip switch
#4 & #5 allows you to select the pressure range of your
choice.
-.10 to +.10
-.15 to .25
0 to +.15
0 to +.25

The CR30 has a dual display that can be turned on or off.

Keypad Lock
For security purposes it is possible to lock the keypad with
the use of dip switch #8. You may want to lock the keypad
to prevent unauthorized persons from using the keypad to
set alarms or change the calibration. (For more information
on use of the keypad see "Keypad Operations" on page 5
& 6)

2. To activate the User Calibration mode, turn the
unit off. Now press the "On/Off" key and the "Up Arrow"
key at the same time. The "UC" symbol will appear in the
display to indicate you are in "User Calibration" mode.
Adjust the CR30 reading as desired. To raise the
reading press the "Up Arrow" key. To lower the reading
press the "Down Arrow" key.
When calibration is complete, simply press the
"On/Off" key to save calibration setting.
4. Press the "Pen Home" key to return the pen to
the home position. Once the pens have stopped at the
outside of the chart press the "Pen Home" key again to
return pen to recording position.
5. Remove pen cap.
Note: To prolong pen life replace pen cap when recorder
is not in use. Pen caps can be stored on pen cap holders
provided on the dial plate of the recorder.
