7. CHANGING THE BATTERY
Replace the batteries when a low battery symbol is
displayed on the LCD screen. When the battery is
completely exhausted, the display will appear blank
and no symbol will be shown. Rotate the dial to the "OFF"
position and remove the test leads. Remove the cover using a
screwdriver. Replace the batteries. Use two new 1.5V (AAA)
batteries. Reinstall the door and tighten the screw
to secure the cover.
NOTE: Remove the batteries if the mter is not going to be
used for an extended period of time. The meter should be
stored in a cool, dry location.
8. MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Before opening the meter, disconnect both test leads.
Never use the meter unless the battery cover is in place
and the screw is tightened.
8-1 Cleaning:
Use only a soft cloth dampened with water or
neutral detergent for cleaning the meter. Do not use
abrasives, solvents or harsh chemicals. Allow to dry
thoroughly before use.
