Perfect sealing is essential for commissioning the device.
PIPE CONNECTION
- Connect the CO 2 pressure pipe to the reducing valve connection (7).
- Only use pipes that comply with regulations.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - OPENING
- Opening the cylinder valve too quickly can disable the pressure gauge.
- Make sure that the cylinder is in an upright position.
- Slowly open the adjustment knob (5) until the gauge indicator reaches 1 bar.
The low pressure gauge (4) will indicate the operating pressure.
- Slowly open the adjustment screw (6) to reach the desired amount of CO 2 to be injected.
ADJUSTING PRESSURE
- To increase the pressure: slowly turn the reducing valve adjustment knob (5) clockwise.
- To decrease the pressure: slowly turn the reducing valve adjustment knob (5)
counter-clockwise.
- To increase the CO 2 flow: slowly turn the adjustment screw (6) counter-clockwise.
- To decrease the CO 2 flow: slowly turn the adjustment screw (6) clockwise.
SAFETY WARNINGS
• It is possible to compensate for any drops in pressure by turning the adjustment knob (5).
• The outlet pressure must not be adjusted in excess of that required for the operation to be
carried out and never more than 2/3 of the full scale of the low pressure gauge (4).
CLOSING
- Allow the gas to discharge until the pressure-reducing valve gauge reading is zero.
- Turn the adjustment knob (5) counter-clockwise until it is completely closed.
STORAGE
- The pressure-reducing valve must be stored as a precision instrument.
- If the pressure-reducing valve is not to be used for long periods of time, it is advisable to
store it in a protective casing (if possible in the box provided) to protect it from accidental
impact and contact with dust, oil or other impurities.
MAINTENANCE
• Do not attempt any other maintenance or repair work.
• Only use original PRODAC INTERNATIONAL spare parts and accessories.
• Spare parts are available from your retailer.
• If a fault occurs which cannot be repaired by following these instructions,
return the pressure-reducing valve to your retailer.
• Do not clean the pressure gauge slides with petrol, solvents or detergents of any kind.
