MALFUNCTIONS
- In the event of malfunctions (i.e. leakage from pressure gauges or the safety valve),
stop using the pressure-reducing valve and close the cylinder valve immediately (1).
- If no damage is detected on the outside, we recommend that you return the
pressure-reducing valve to your retailer so that he/she can inspect and repair it.
SAFETY WARNINGS
• Do not use the pressure-reducing valve if the following malfunctions occur:
- The sealing gasket (2) is damaged or has been lost
- The reducing valve or parts thereof (pressure gauge, inlet connection or outlet connection)
are damaged or contaminated with dirt, oil, etc.
- Any leakage of the joints has been detected
- The setting of the safety valve has been changed or gas is leaking from it.
SAFETY VALVE
- For safety reasons, a pressure relief valve (8) is fitted in the pressure-reducing valve.
- In the event of a malfunction, this valve makes the excess gas pressure flow to the outside.
SAFETY WARNINGS
- Do not change the setting of the safety valve.
CHECKING TIGHTNESS
- Use soapy water or a leak detector to check the tightness of the pressure-reducing valve.
- Spray the detector on the area to be checked.
- The detection of gas leaks is evidenced by the formation of bubbles or foam.
