MAINTENANCE
Do not use chemicals during cleaning. WARNING: Before cleaning, always turn
off the machine's power and unplug the power plug to avoid the risk of electric
shock.
When dust accumulates on the outside surface of the appliance, simply wipe it
with a soft cloth. If the surface is dirty (more than just dust), water below 122°F
should be mixed with a neutral detergent to be used with a soft cloth to clean
and wipe the surface of the unit. Allow the surface to air dry.
During cleaning, never use gasoline, oil, or any other substance that could
damage or corrode the outer surface.
Cleaning the filter
Too much dust on the air filter will affect the fan's function. It should be
cleaned at least once every other month.
To clean the air filter:
1.
Remove the power cord from the power outlet.
2.
Remove the rear air filter. The cooling pad can then be removed as well.
(Operation is shown below.)
3.
Soak the honeycomb filter assemblage in detergent for a few minutes,
then wash and dry.
