are available: from the front edge or rear edge of the distance
meter. The appropriate appearance of the measurement basis
indicator indicates the selection confi rmation.
Press the power button once; this will activate the laser pointer.
Aim the laser dot at a place to which the distance will be meas-
ured, and then press the power switch again. The distance meter
measures the distance, and the result is shown in the last meas-
urement fi eld. In the case of subsequent measurements, the re-
sults of previous measurements will move up the display to the
previous measurement results fi eld, and at the same, they will be
saved in the subsequent memory banks.
Continuous measurement mode
Continuous measurement is a type of direct measurement that
allows measurement in motion. When moving the distance meter,
the measured distance increases or decreases, and it is displayed
continuously. This makes it possible, for example, to determine
the distance to be travelled when approaching or moving away
from the surface to be measured.
Switch on the device and press and hold the power switch /
continuous measurement button for approx. 2 s. The device will
switch to the continuous measurement mode. Move the distance
meter reading the values on the display. The distance meter auto-
matically saves minimum and maximum distance measured and
shows them on the display.
CAUTION! Moving the distance meter too fast may result in incor-
rect indication. Reduce the speed of moving the laser distance me-
ter, if the "Error" message is showed on the display. To return to the
single measurement mode, press the power switch button twice.
Area measurement
CAUTION! It is possible to measure the area of only one rectan-
gular area at a time. Areas with diff erent shapes need to be di-
vided into rectangles and then measured separately, totalling the

results of the separate measurements up.
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button. Keep
pressing the basis button until the display shows a rectangle sym-
bol with a marked edge that will be measured fi rst. Measure the
edge length as in the single measurement method. Use the power
switch to switch the measurement to the next edge and measure
it as in the case of the fi rst edge. The display will show the length
measurements of both edges and the calculated rectangle area.
Cubic volume measurement
CAUTION! It is possible to measure the area of only one cuboid
at a time. Cubic volumes with diff erent shapes need to be divided
into cuboids and then measured separately, totalling the results of
the separate measurements up.
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button. Keep
pressing the basis button until the display shows a cuboid sym-
bol with marked edge that will be measured fi rst. Measure the
edge length as in the single measurement method. Use the power
switch to switch the measurement to the next edge and measure
it as in the case of the fi rst edge. Similarly measure the third edge.
The display will show the length measurements of the three edges
and the calculated cubic volume of the cuboid.
Indirect measurement
This type of measurement is used to measure distances when
direct measurement is not possible, for example there are ob-
stacles in the laser beam path. The measurement can be used
to measure height when there is no direct access to the surface
to be measured. Since the result of a measurement depends on
calculations based on the measured indirect distances, the result
of such a measurement will always have a greater error than the
direct measurement. Single intermediate distances should be
