2. Neither change the carburettor adjustment nor modify the engine operation specified by the
manufacturer.
3. Regularly check the machine for technical condition. Maintain the machine in a safe operable condition.
Ensure that all the screw connections are tightened, protective covers firmly installed in place, controls
working properly.
4. Never store a machine with fuel in a tank inside a building where petrol fumes could cause a fire, i.e.
near the open flame or sources of sparks.
5. Allow the engine to cool down before storing. Remove dirt, lubricant residue, etc. from the machine to
reduce the risk of fire.
6. Keep the safety markings intact throughout the life of the machine.
FIRE SAFETY
WARNING - Petrol is a highly flammable liquid!
a) Store fuel only in the containers designed for this purpose.
b) When refueling, handling and storing fuel, observe the safety precautions applicable to the easily
flammable substances. Refuel before starting the engine, do not open the tank when the engine is
running or when it is hot. Do not fill the tank to the brim, leave a space of at least 15 mm to the top edge.
After the tank has been filled, wipe off the spilled fuel. Refuel in an open area and do not smoke or use
open flames when refueling. Afterwards, close the fuel tank and the fuel container carefully.
c) Avoid starting the machine in the environment with petrol fumes. Remove flammable objects (grass,
leaves) from the vicinity of the engine.
d) Avoid running the engine in the closed rooms such as garages, where there is a risk of exhaust gas
poisoning. Do not expose yourself to exhaust fumes.
e) Take extra care where there is a fire hazard (hay, straw, stubble).
f) Do not use any compressed starting fluids to boost the engine start.
g) Check the exhaust silencer regularly; if it is clogged - dismantle and clean it. Replace the defective
silencer.
h) Empty the fuel tank in the open area.
SPECIFIC SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROTARY CULTIVATOR
Before starting the work:
● check the function and completeness of the protective devices of the covers and warning labels;
● check the ground surface to be processed beforehand and identify the danger spots (protrusions, roots,
etc.) that may cause damage to the rotary mechanism;
● check the condition and wear of the cultivator parts and belts, and replace the damaged parts.
VERY IMPORTANT:
● check the tightness of the screw connections of the cultivator before starting the work;
● if foreign bodies are entangled on the rotating machine parts, switch off the engine and use a suitable tool
to clean the machine.
