PRODUCT OPERATION
Preparing the device for operation
Caution! All actions described in this section must be carried out with the product unplugged. Make sure that the power cord has
been unplugged from the socket.
The product must be unpacked and all parts of the packaging completely removed. It is recommended to keep the packaging, as
it can be helpful in further transporting and storing of the product.
Check the product for damage. In the event of any damage being found, do not use the product, before the damage has been
remedied or the damaged components changed for new components, free of defects.
Unfold the nozzle head so that it is perpendicular to the handle (II).
A cap can be attached to the head. Fasten the cap by sliding it onto the nozzles so that the tabs in the head casing hit the mounting
holes of the cap (III).
The caps diff er in the length of the bristles. The shorter bristle cap is used to brush delicate fabrics, the longer bristle cap is used
to brush thicker fabrics. The head without a cap can be used to iron smooth fabrics.
Water fi lling and emptying
Caution! Make sure that the product is disconnected from the power supply before fi lling it with water or emptying. The plug of the
power cord is pulled out of the socket. The product and the water stored in it must also be cooled.
Disconnect the hopper from the product. Slide the latch in the direction of the head (IV) and disconnect the tank from the handle
of the device.
Pull out the rubber stopper of the inlet opening (V) and fi ll the tank with water. Do not exceed the maximum tank capacity specifi ed
in the technical data table. Leave approx. 1 cm of free space between the top of the tank and the water level.
It is recommended to use the funnel to fi ll the tank, as this will minimise the risk of splashing water while fi lling the tank. Splashed
water should be thoroughly cleaned before connecting the device to the mains power supply.
Fit the rubber stopper by pushing it into the inlet opening as far as possible, turn the tank so that the inlet is facing downwards and
check that the stopper does not leak. In case of leakage, refi t the stopper.
Mount the tank in the device handle. First slide the latch at the bottom of the rear wall of the tank into the opening in the handle,
and then press down on the top of the tank so that the latch locks the tank into the handle.
A correctly installed water tank cannot be dismantled in any other manner than by moving the latch.
After use, disconnect the product from the power supply by unplugging the power cord from the socket.
Wait until the product and the water remaining in the tank have cooled down completely. Disconnect the tank, remove the tank
stopper, turn the tank so that the inlet is facing downwards and empty the tank completely. Fit the tank stopper.
If the tank and stopper are removed too early, hot steam or water can be released, which can cause serious burns.
Switching the device on and off
After fi lling the tank with water, place the device on a level, fi rm and stable surface, and then insert the product plug into the power
supply socket. The lamp in the product head will light up. This means that the water-heating process has begun. It is recommend-
ed to hold the product by the handle during the heating process, in an upright position so that the underside of the water tank
faces downwards. Only in this position will the water fl ow from the tank to the heating chamber, where it will be turned into steam.
After ca. 30 seconds the lamp will go out and the product is ready for use.
Press and hold the switch. Steam will start to escape from the outlet.
Warning! Make sure that body parts are not near the steam outlet. Hot steam can cause severe burns.
The device is equipped with a thermostat which automatically starts heating water if the water temperature drops below the level
necessary to achieve the rated capacity. Each time the water heating is started, the lamp lights up.
Releasing the pressure on the switch stops the steam fl ow. Then place the device on a level, fi rm and stable surface and unplug
the power cord from the socket. Allow the unit to cool down completely and then empty the water tank.
Water quality
The tank can only be fi lled with cold, clean water. If the running water is hard, in case of lack of knowledge contact your local water
supplier, use tap water and demineralised water mixture or only demineralised water. Heating hard water causes scale build-up,
which can lead to a decrease in capacity or even a complete clogging of the device.
Due to the use of brass parts, no descaling agents can be used in the tank and nozzles.
