• Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the back of the scale.
• Insert 1 CR2032-type 3V battery (included) with the positive and negative poles in
the right direction as indicated (the "+" pole should point upwards).
• Put the cover back on.
Comments:
• When the battery is dead, remove it using a pointed object
(see illustration opposite).
• Use only the battery type specified in this manual.
• Replace the battery if it is spent or starts to leak.
• Remove the battery if the scale is not to be used for a prolonged
period.

• To turn on the scale, first place it on a flat, stable surface.
• Press the centre of the scale until it lights up.
