The actuator must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Failure to comply
with these recommendations may compromise the safety of the entire system.
The electrical supply system must be carried out in accordance with the regulations in force in the
country of installation.
Danger of crushing or entrapment. During operation, when the actuator closes the window, it could
exert such a force on the frame stops that fingers could be crushed in case of distraction.
It is forbidden to use chain actuators on windows installed below 2.5m if all conditions listed in dia-
grams and flow charts at the end of the manual in the annex chapter (Annex A-6) are not observed
The storage of the actuators on site must be carried out in accordance with all procedures that can
prevent damage, dust, moisture or contamination of the actuator.
In the event of a fault or malfunction, switch off the actuator at the main switch and call in a qualified
technician.
The APRO actuators comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG and IEC60335-2-103 and other
directives and standards enclosed in the EC Declaration of Incorporation and Conformity (Annex A-6).
However, it is necessary to secure or fasten moving parts of the window that could fall below 2.5m as a
result of a broken system component. Therefore, it is necessary to equip the window frame with safety
arms (limiters) to prevent falls or violent movements.
In accordance with the manufacturer's responsibility for its products, the information contained in this
manual and in the corresponding assembly instructions and product wiring diagrams (information on
correct use, misuse, product performance, maintenance, information and instruction obligations) must
be observed. Non-compliance exempts the manufacturer from any legal liability.
Master Italy will not be liable if third-party actuators or accessories are used with APRO actuators or
accessories.
Check that the conditions specified on the label such as ambient temperature and electrical data are
met at the installation site.
Before installing the actuator, ensure that the entire system is in good mechanical condition, balanced
and can be closed easily.
For APRO actuators operating at 24V, the use of a class II* transformer is mandatory.
Following an automatic opening due to a smoke and heat evacuation alarm, ensure that people are
away from the window before closing the actuator.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its technical service depart-
ment or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazards.
Keep fixed and remote controls out of the reach of children.
* Class II transformer: Transformers in which the protection against electric shock is not only based on the
main insulation but also on additional safety measures such as double or reinforced insulation, as there
are no measures such as protective earthing or reliance on installation conditions.
