CHARGING SHAVER
The shaver has not been charged
at the factory. Please charge the
shaver for a minimum of 60
minutes before the first use for
maximum performance.
This battery charger is intended for
use with Andis model PFS-1 lithium-
ion battery with a rated capacity of
3.6V
1400mAh. Remove the
shaver and AC adapter from the
carton. Plug the adapter into a
100-240V AC outlet, or according to
your local power standards. Note
that the shaver must be turned off
for the battery to charge. Plug the
cord adapter directly into the inlet
on bottom of shaver (Figure H). The
white LED bars cycle through one
by one while charging. Three solid white bars indicate the battery is fully charged
(Figure H). The shaver will not operate while charging.
WET/DRY OPERATION
Product can safely be used in the shower and with water or shaving cream.
TRAVEL LOCK FEATURE
This product is equipped with a travel lock feature (Figure G). To enable the travel
lock, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds or until you see the white light
below the lock symbol turn on. To release the travel lock, press and hold the power
button for 5 seconds until the shaver turns on.
FAILURE TO CHARGE
1. Travel lock may be engaged. Check by pressing power button (Figure G). If travel
lock indicator light turns white, turn off the travel lock by pressing and holding the
power button for at least 5 seconds.
2. Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you
know is working).
3. Check to make sure adapter cord is plugged firmly into shaver. Twist the adapter
connector slightly to insure good electrical connection. If failure to charge still
exists while product is under warranty, return shaver to Andis for examination and/
or replacement.
FOR SHAVING
1. Keep the unit clean and dry when not in use.
2. Remove the protective cap (Figure G).
3. Check to make sure the outer foils and inner cutters are not damaged. Replace
damaged parts before using. For more information on replacement parts, contact
Andis or the nearest Andis authorized service station.
4. Ensure that the battery is charged.
5. Wash and dry your skin thoroughly prior to shaving.
