Checking the oil level regularly
• It is already filled with SAE 15W/40 oil
6.5
Changing oil
Switch off the motor; pull the mains plug out of
the socket.
Release any air pressure that may be present;
unscrew the oil drain plug on the compressor
pump.
To prevent the oil from running out in an
uncontrolled manner, hold a metal trough
underneath and catch the oil >> tilt the
compressor if necessary.
6.6
Cleaning the air filter
The air filter prevents dust and dirt from being
sucked in. It is necessary to clean this filter at
least every 100 operating hours. If the air filter is
clogged, it will significantly reduce compressor
performance.
Open the screw on the air filter so that the
halves of the air filter housing can be opened.
6.7
Tasks to be performed frequently
Clean the compressor, especially the cooling
ribs on the cylinder, aftercooler and on the fan
cover.
Drain the condensate from the compressed-air
tank after each use
6.8
Tasks to be performed regularly
For oiled compressors: if used frequently,
change the oil every six months if possible.
Check the check valve, safety valve and screw
connections. Replace if necessary.
CAUTION

Place the compressor on
an even, level surface.
The oil level should cover

most the full circle.
condensation water in an environmentally
friendly manner at an appropriate collection
point.
• If the oil needs to be topped up, the same or
equivalent
low-viscosity
recommended.
• Mixing synthetic and mineral oil is strongly
discouraged.
• Change the first filling after 10h operating.
• Then change the oil every 100h operating.
• Oil quantity: see Technical Data.
Dispose of the used oil at an appropriate
collection point.
Once the oil has run out, reinsert the oil drain
plug.
Pour the new oil into the oil filler opening until
the oil level reaches the specified level.
Reinsert the oil blanking plug.
Blow out all parts of the filter with compressed
air at low pressure (approx. 3 bar) and then
assemble the filter in reverse order.
• When cleaning, make sure that you are
adequately protected against dust (e.g. a
suitable face mask).
In the case of oiled compressors, check the oil
level before each use and adjust it as per the
safety regulations.
Check that the air filter is in good working
order.
If used frequently, the pressure vessel must
undergo a pressure test by a qualified person in
accordance with the German Ordinance on
Industrial Health and Safety (BetrSichV). If
necessary, contact your retailer.
