1. Slide the extension (14) onto the pro-
tective cover (1). Begin on the side
without the string cutter (13).
2. Slide the extension (14) up until it
clicks into place.

1. Remove the rechargeable batteries.
2. Place the device on the ground in a
stable position.
3. Block the mounting spindle (34) using
the hexagon socket wrench (18) as
depicted.
4. Place the thin washer (35) on the
mounting spindle (34).
5. Screw the spool cap (12) anticlockwi-
se back onto the mounting spindle (34).

Extend the thread
Attention! Thread remnants can
be projected and lead to injuries.
Your device is equipped with a doub-
le-string activated touch control, i.e. the
two strings are extended when you tap
the cutting head on the ground.
1. Hold the device in operation over a
grassy area and lightly tap the cutting
head a few times on the ground. This
causes the thread to lengthen.
2. The thread cutter (
