4.2 Connecting the power supply/power source communication connection cable
Fire hazard due to dirty connection
Dirty connections may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire. This may result in serious burns.
► Ensure that the interfaces are clean.
When the connections are not in use, cover the interfaces with the protective caps.
4.3 Establishing the welding tractor's power supply
► Observe the safety instructions in the operating instructions for the welding power source.
► Observe the safety instructions in the operating instructions for the welding tractor.
► Refer to the operating instructions for the welding power source, the welding tractor, and the circuit
diagrams for the mains voltage and fuse protection.

Plug the power supply/power source

communication from the welding torch cable
assembly into the communication connecting
socket on the wire feed unit.
Plug the ABICAR connection cable for the power

supply/power source communication into the
communication connecting socket on the
welding torch cable assembly (on the torch side).
Plug the other end of the ABICAR connection

cable for the power supply/power source
communication into the communication
connecting socket on the welding tractor.
To disconnect the cables, hold down the release

and then pull out.
Plug in the mains plug.

Set the main switch on the welding power source to <I>.

Set the <ON/OFF> switch on the iMIG POWER 400

POWER MODULE to <ON> to switch on the power
supply to the welding tractor. The green LED lights up.
