LASER-TRUMMY2
The precision instrument must only be used by qualified personnel.
The measurement can only be carried out with the driven parts
switched off and stationary.
Always measure the belt tension on the longer belt strand midway
between the two drive pulleys, Figure 2.
Measuring procedure:
■ Switch on LASER-TRUMMY2.
■ Strike the belt to excite it to natural vibration.
■ Hold the measurement sensor over the drive belt at the centre of
the free strand length, Figure 2. The distance above the belt
should be between 3 mm and 20 mm.
A successful measurement is marked by an acoustic signal.
The display shows the word "Measurement" with the measured
value in Hz.
