MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that the equipment is
regularly checked and maintained,at least
annually, together with the plant supplying it.
It is important to isolate the unit both elec-
trically and hydraulically before starting any
repair or maintenance operation.
Allow time for components to cool before
working on the unit.

Cleaning of the filter
Each module is fitted with a filter on the pri-
mary flow from the heating plant.
This filter should be checked at regular
intervals as part of the service. A blocked fil-
ter will result in a high head loss and poor
heating performance.
The heating system should be flushed and
treated
in accordance with BS7593
"Treatment of water in domestic central
heating systems". which involves the use of

a proprietary cleanser, and water treat-
ment.
Failure to flush and treat the system could
result in the warranty becoming void.
It is most important that the manual limit
valve is only adjusted by experienced and
competent engineers.
