Operating mode
Adjusting the belt size: Put the belt on and adjust the
size so that the fan unit sits comfortably on the hips.
Removing the air hose: Press the hose connector in on
both sides and pull it off the counterpiece (fig. 6).
Inserting the battery: The battery must be inserted in
the corresponding guide on the right underside of
the WSH AIR III fan unit. Push the battery in until it
engages with an audible click (fig. 7).
Remove and charge the battery: Pull the unlocking
lever back at the battery and push the battery along
the guide until it is fully out of the fan unit (fig. 8).
Then connect the battery to the charger (fig. 9).
Charging is indicated by the yellow LED on the
charger. Once charging is complete, the LED turns
green and trickle charging is activated. Ensure that
the voltage at the power outlet corresponds to the
voltage indicated on the charger.
WARNING
• Würth batteries for the WSH AIR III fan unit may
only be charged using a Würth charger for WSH
AIR III fan units. Use of other chargers could
result in explosions, that could cause injuries or
even death.
• Würth chargers for WSH AIR III fan units are
only suitable for indoor use and must not be
exposed to external weather conditions. Do not
charge the battery at temperatures below 0 °C
or greater than 45 °C. Do not charge the bat-
tery in the vicinity of combustible materials such
as cartons, paper or furniture.
• Battery charging must be performed in a safe,
danger-free location. Do not store or charge the
battery within the vicinity of a welding machine.
• Never expose the lithium-ion cells to water and
never let them become wet. Accidental, short-
term exposure of the battery to water is accept-
able, provided the lithium-ion cells remain dry.
• Do not dismantle or modify the batteries. The
batteries contain safety and protective devices,
which if damaged could result in the batteries
generating heat, exploding or catching fire.
WARNING
• Do not position the battery in direct sunlight and
do not use it or store it close to heat sources or
electric arcs.
• Non-observation of this warning instruction could
result in severe bodily injuries, severe illness or
even death.
CAUTION
• Würth recommends charging and storing the
battery at temperatures between 4.5 °C and
26.7 °C. Charging at lower or higher tempera-
tures will result in a loss of capacity and also
reduce the service life of the battery.
• Exercise caution to prevent puncturing or ruptur-
ing of the cells.
• If the lithium battery becomes damaged, swells,
leaks electrolyte, or becomes unusually hot
during charging, stop using it immediately and
store the battery in a fire-proof container until it
can be recycled. Do not leave the battery con-
nected to the charger for longer than 70 hours.
Battery status indicator: Quickly press the on/off
button. The LED flashes. Check the charge state of
the battery on the scale below. Adjusting the airflow:
The fan has three airflow levels: 170/210/240 L/
min. To change the airflow level, press the airflow
button and step through the various levels until the
desired level is reached (fig. 10).
Replacing the main filter and pre-filter: If a filter
alarm is generated, the pre-filter must be replaced
(fig. 11). Please monitor the time between filter
alarms. This becomes shorter after every replace-
ment of the pre-filter. If you
have the impression that the intervals between
changes are becoming too short (dependent on
what you sense), replacement of the main and
pre-filters is recommended (fig. 12).
