Use the Laser Detected LEDs to align the

Reference Line (Figure Ⓓ ①) with the laser beam.
Down LED
The Reference Line is higher than the laser beam.
Move the detector down (Figure Ⓓ ④).
Up LED
The Reference Line is lower than the laser beam.
Move the detector up (Figure Ⓓ ⑥).
Reference Line LED
The Reference Line is aligned with the laser
beam. (Figure Ⓓ ⑤).
NOTE: If the speaker volume is ON (LOUD/SOFT),
an audible tone also assists with aligning the
detector.
Tone
Fast Beep
The detector must be moved down.
Slow Beep
The detector must be moved up.
The laser beam is aligned with the
Steady Beep
Reference Line.
When the laser beam is aligned with the Reference

NOTE: If the top of the detector is used as
a marking location, reference the back of the
detector for the measurement compensation value
(Figure Ⓓ ⑦).
Maintenance and Care
• When the laser tool is not in use, clean the exterior
parts with a damp cloth, wipe the laser tool with
a soft dry cloth to make sure it is dry, and then store
the laser tool in the kit box provided.
• NEVER use solvents to clean the laser tool.
• Do not store the laser tool at temperatures below
‑10˚C or above 40˚C.
• To maintain the accuracy of your work, check the
laser tool often to make sure it is properly calibrated.
• Calibration checks and other maintenance repairs
must be performed by Stanley service centers.
End of Life
DO NOT dispose of this product with household waste.
ALWAYS dispose of batteries per local code.
PLEASE RECYCLE in line with local provisions for
the collection and disposal of electrical and electronic
waste under the WEEE Directive.
