6.8 Testing the function
Stunning of eyes by arcs
Arcs produced when testing can damage your eyes.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment (eye protection).
Proceed as follows to test whether the device is correctly connected:
► Insert the connection cable, switch on the power source, switch on the device, and set the welding start
signal switch to "Test".

The arc will ignite for a split second.

Allows movement on a surface and on tubes.
Max. rail length: 1.85 m
Min. bending radius: 1 m
Connect the flexible guide rails to the magnetic blocks

with a butt joint or lap joint.
Position magnets along the welding direction on the

workpiece.
Set the required distance on the adjustment tool.

Release the lever of the adjustment tool and place it on
4
the first magnet. Place the side of the stop pin against
the external edge of the material, or place the tip of
the stop pin in a groove.
Lock the lever of the adjustment tool.

Remove the remainder of the rail from the workpiece.

Move the adjustment tool along the guiding and
7
attach all magnets.
Disconnect standard guide arms from the device and
8
mount guide arms for flexible guide rails.
