Wheel Guard) with Concrete Dust
Extraction Attachment for Surfacing
Grinding Assembly
A Type B (27) grinding
wheel guard may not be
used for all tool operations. Do not discard
guard when not in use. Always reinstall wheel
guard when converting back to grinding opera-
tions.
Dust Extraction Attachment
is not a guard, do not use
with bonded abrasive wheels. Dust extraction
attachment may not protect operator in the
event of a wheel burst.
To Install Concrete Dust Extraction
Attachment
(Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3, Fig. 5, Fig. 11)
1. Disconnect the Battery Pack 5 from the
tool.
2. Position the Concrete Dust Extraction At-
tachment 30 on the Guard Mounting Flange
14 with the Dust Port 31 pointing away
from the tool body.
3. Rotate the Concrete Dust Extraction At-
tachment 30 clockwise 90º until it clicks in
place.
4. Adjust the Concrete Dust Extraction Attach-
ment 30 by depressing the Wheel Guard
Release Lever 12 and rotate the Concrete
Dust Extraction Attachment 30 to the de-
sired position.
5. Allow the Wheel Guard Release Lever 12 to
click in place.
6. Place the Backing Flange 19 on the Spindle
18.
7. Place the diamond cup wheel onto the
Spindle 18, and align it with the Backing
Flange 19.
8. Thread on the Quick-Clamping Nut 10 and
tighten the Nut 10 using the Fold-Up Bar
17, while holding the Spindle Lock 1.
When using spin on wheels, follow steps 1 - 5,
then thread the wheel directly onto the Spindle
18 without using the supplied flanges.
TO REMOVE: Reverse procedure.
