6 Cleaning and Maintenance

Turn the device's control knob to "OFF" prior to cleaning and disconnect the device from

Clean the device directly after use. Extended waiting unnecessarily complicates cleaning
and can make it impossible in extreme cases. Excessive accumulations of dirt can even

damage the device under certain circumstances.
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.
Do not immerse the unit into water, do not put it in a dishwasher.
6.2 Cleaning
Device
When the device has cooled down, wipe it with a damp cloth.
Egg tray and lid
Lid and tray can be washed with soap and water.
Descaling
To descale the device, remove the lid and pour water and a commercially available descaling
agent onto the heating plate. Let the water boil briefl y by turning the control knob to the
fi rst hardness setting. After boiling the water wait for 10 minutes and then clean the device
thoroughly.
