4. Technical Description
The drum lifter has 3 wheelbase options and two lifting options:
Servo Type
Wheelbase
Overall height (mm)
Lifting range (mm)
Lifting equipment
The Servo Drum lifter is constructed as follows:
Stable frame with lifting mast
-
Drum gripper for picking up the drums
-
Hydraulic pump with lifting cylinder or crank handle with cable winch
-
2 fixed castors and 2 swivel castors (for the Ex version in electrically conductive design).
-
5. Setting up and initial operation
Drum lifter with hydraulic pump:
Before using the drum lifter for the first time, loosen the oil screw on the
hydraulic cylinder and raise the lifter with a load on board so that the air is
removed from the hydraulic system. Afterwards tighten the oil screw again. This
method can also be used for removing any air bubbles in the hydraulic system in
the future. If the oil screw is replaced with a screw with a hole (possibly included
in the delivery), the hydraulic system is permanently bled.
Adjust the adapter plate to suit the drum gripper
By changing the adapter plate the drum lifter can be adjusted to suit various starting heights and so the "no load
lift distance" (the amount the lifter is raised before the drum is lifted) can be reduced.
To do this, loosen the safety screws above the attachment holes (A or B) and then hang the adapter plate on
the frame at a different height. Now set the new attachment position using the safety screws.
Lifting height and gripping position
Regularly check the safety screws and if necessary tighten them.
