1 LED STATUS INDICATION
This illuminated display indicates the MA 700's 2
possible states:
• LED is illuminated green: The MA 700 is
switched on. The device is ready for use.
• LED is illuminated red: The MA 700 is in the
standby mode.
• LED flashes alternately red and green:
The mute function (MUTE) is activated.
2 ON/STBY
Switches the device on when it is in the standby
mode. If the LED does not illuminate, actuate the
power switch located on the rear of the device.
Conversely the device can be switched from
power operation to the standby mode.
3 HEADPHONES
6.3 mm stereo output jack for headphones. The
speakers are deactivated when this jack is used.
Set the volume to a low level before connecting
headphones.

4 SENSOR FOR THE REMOTE CONTROL
Please aim at this sensor when using the remote
control.
5 LOUDNESS
Selection of the Loudness function (aurally
compensated volume correction). When the
function is switched on, the LED above the button
lights up green.
6 MONO
Switches between Stereo and Mono.
When the function is switched on, the LED above
the button lights up green.
Attention: This function is not available for the
Bluetooth input and the digital inputs.
7 SOURCE (INPUT SELECTOR SWITCH)
Switches between the different audio sources:
• PHONO: Record players with a Moving
Magnet System (MM) or MC system with high
output level (high output MC).

• CD: CD player.
• TUNER: Selection of the FM tuner
• STREAM: Streamer or DVD
• AUX: Other audio devices.
• LINE IN: Front input for portable devices
• HDMI: HDMI (ARC) input
• BT: Connection to a Bluetooth device
• COAX/OPT:
Connecting to digital audio sources.
8 LINE IN
3.5 mm stereo input jack for an auxiliary audio
device (e.g. MP3 player, etc.).
9 BALANCE
For adjusting the stereo balance between the
speakers to the right or to the left.
10, 11 EQUALISATION: BASS / TREBLE
The bass and treble reproduction can be set indi-
vidually with these controls.

12 DIRECT
The device is switched to the linear mode.
The TREBLE and BASS levels cannot be adjusted
in this mode. When the function is switched on,
the LED above the button lights
up green.
13 VOLUME
For adjusting the overall volume of the music.
14 LED DISPLAY
The following information is displayed via these
LEDs:
• Tube heating phase, this lasts 30 seconds.
All LEDs flash.
• Selected audio input: The correspondingly LED
lights up. Digital inputs: Optical input:

LED lights up green, coaxial input: LED lights
up orange Digital inputs and HDMI input: If the
input is selected and no signal is received,
the corresponding LED flashes
• Volume information: While the volume is being
set, the current volume is shown in the form of
an LED bar from left to right. When the maximum
volume is reached, all LEDs light up green and
the right LED changes color to orange.
When muted, the power LED flashes red and
green alternately. See also MUTE function.
The current input is displayed again approx. 3
seconds after the last setting.
