FUNCTIONS
1. AUDIO INPUT: use this cinch (RCA) input to connect the analog audio equipment you want to record
from. This can be a turntable or any line level audio equipment. Refer to number 4 for more information.
2. GROUND CONNECTION: use this screw only to connect the eventual earth wire from your turntable.
This will eliminate eventual humming noises.
3. AUDIO OUTPUT: you can use the USB audio converter also as an (additional) sound card for your PC
or laptop. In that case you have to connect this output to an amplifier or other line level input. (ex. audio
mixer)
4. AUDIO INPUT SWITCH: used to adapt the audio input (see n°1) to the equipment that is connected:
LINE position: you can connect any line level audio output to record it on your computer.
PHONO position: use this position if you connect a turntable. (internal RIAA amplifier is activated)
If possible, please also use the ground connection (see n°2).
5. LINE INPUT SENSITIVITY: line signals coming from different equipment can differ a lot. Most CD-
players have 2V output while the output from a tuner or cassette deck is often not more than 350mV.
You can use this knob to optimize the sensitivity of the incoming line signal, refer to the peak indicator
(6) for the optimal setting.
6. POWER/PEAK LED: this indicator is green when the unit receives power from the USB connecter on
your computer. When the line input is too high (input overload) this indicator turns red. In this case use
the line input sensitivity knob (5) to lower the input.
7. USB CONNECTOR: used to connect the USB audio converter to your computer. The unit will be
recognized immediately, no drivers needed.
