Only expert and trained technicians must perform this
operation. Remove the test leads or the conductor
under test before replacing the battery
6.1. BATTERY AND INTERNAL FUSES REPLACEMENT
When the display shows "
Replacing the batteries
1.
Turn the rotary switch to OFF.
2. Remove the cables from the input terminals
3. Remove the protective sheath from the instrument
4. Loosen the fastening screw of the battery compartment cover 1)
on the top rear part of the instrument and remove the cover.
5. Remove all batteries and replace them with new batteries of
the same type (see § 7.2), respecting the indicated polarity.
6. Restore the battery compartment cover into place and fasten it
by means of the relevant screw and restore protective sheath
7. Do not scatter old batteries into the environment. Use the
relevant containers for disposal
Replacement of fuses
1.
Position the rotary switch to OFF and remove the cables from
the input terminals
2. Remove the protective sheath from the instrument
3. Loosen the 4 fastening screws of the rear half-shell and remove
it
4. Remove the damaged fuse, insert a new fuse of the same type
(see § 7.2) and close the rear half-shell
5. Restore the protective sheath
6.2. CLEANING
For cleaning the instrument use a soft dry cloth. Never use a wet
cloth, solvents or water, etc
