GENERAL WARNINGS
Safety warnings
• During device installation, always strictly ob serve all instructions in this man-
ual. If in any doubt re garding installation, do not proceed and contact the
Technical Assistance for clarifi cations.
• CAUTION! – Important instructions: keep these instructions in a safe place to
ena ble future product maintenance and disposal procedures.
• CAUTION! – All installation, connection, programming and maintenance oper-
ations must be performed exclusively by a qualifi ed technician!
• CAUTION! – SRCK 620 is not to be considered a sa fety device that eliminates
faults on the aw ning caused by strong winds (in fact a simple power failure
would make automatic retraction of the awning impossible). SKIROSOL SRCK
620 should be con si de red part of an automation used to safeguard the awn-
ing and to facilitate use.
• STOBAG declines all liability for material damage cau sed by atmospheric agents not
detected by the device sensors.
• Do not open the device protection housing as it contains electrical circuits that do not
require maintenance.
• Never apply modifi cations to any part of the de vice. Operations other than as speci-
fi ed can only cause malfunctions. The manufacturer de clines all liability for da mage
caused by makeshift modifi cations to the product.
• Never place devices near to sources of heat and never expose to naked fl ames. This
may damage the unit and cause malfunctions.
Other warnings
• The device is powered by a photovoltaic cell which must be exposed to sunlight.
Therefore ensure that the surface of this cell is kept clean and free of leaves, snow
or other elements: clean the surface with a soft damp cloth, avoiding the use of sub-
stances containing alcohol, benzene, solvents or similar.
• The product packaging material must be disposed of in full observance of current local
legislation governing waste disposal.

1 – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
This product is part of the series of SRCK 620 climatic sensors. These are equipped
with a built-in radio transmitter with "TTS" encoding and independent solar power sup-
plied by a built-in photovoltaic cell; during the night SRCK 620 uses the residual power
accumulated during the day, thus eliminating the need for connection to the mains
power supply. SRCK 620 is designed for systems used to automate sun awnings, shut-
ters, skylights and similar, which implement STOBAG tubular motors with "TTS" radio
encoding. Any other use is to be considered improper and is strictly prohibited!
The manufacturer declines all liability for damage resulting from improper use
of the product and other than as specifi ed in this manual.
2 – UNIT OPERATION
Operation of SRCK 620 is based on the detection of variations in wind speed or varia-
tions in the intensity of sunlight.
When the reading value exceeds the trip threshold (mo difi able parameter), SRCK
620 transmits a "radio signal" to the motor. This, in turn, activates the set ma noeuvre
according to the type of signal received.
• "Sun" sensor (fi g. 1)
When the intensity of sunlight, measured by the sensor (b - fi g. 2) exceeds the thresh-
old, after 2 minutes SRCK 620 transmits the Descent command to the motor.
Otherwise, when the sunlight intensity falls below the threshold value, after 15 minutes
SRCK 620 transmits the retraction command to the motor.
The delay intervals described above are implemented to avoid continuous and repetitive
movements of the motor in the presence of transitory clouds. As regards the thresholds,
there is a difference (hysteresis) of approx. 70% between the threshold that activates
descent and the threshold that activates retraction. For example, if the threshold is set
at 20Klux descent is activated when this brightness value is reached, while the awning is
retracted when the value reaches approx. 14Klux.
