Condensate Drain

CORRECT DRAINAGE
FOR CONDENSATE

The condensate drain at th e base of th e unit collects condensation from th e
evaporator fi ns. This should run away to waste via ¾" domestic waste piping.
It is th erefore necessary to ensure th at th e Calorex Heat Pump is placed on
a level plinth so th at th e condensate water can run away with adequate fall
to waste i.e. ½" per foot minimum and must incorporate a "u" trap as to not
overfl ow th e edges of th e drip tray inside th e heat pump. See below.
