Faulty electrical installation
Electrical shock
▶ The electrical system must meet the national requirements for the erection
of low voltage systems (e.g. VDE0100 section 710).
▶ The installation base must be connected to a protective earth if this is es-
sential for the safety of the installation of the system.
▶ The permissible connected value for the power terminals accessible to the
user depends on the local installation performed. Therefore, besides the
power terminals which are freely available to the user, the maximum con-
nected values must be defined by the person who develops the system.
Note
16 A fuse protection must be provided on the customer side. For installation
in rows or double installation no more than 3 workplaces must be connected
via a single fuse (max. 2 workplaces for a UL version).
▶ On the customer's side, set up an all-pole emergency stop switch and an
all-pole safety disconnection device within reaching distance.
Errors during connection of gas lines and electrical cables
Life-threatening hazard
▶ All gas connections and electrical connections should be set up by author-
ised trained personnel.
▶ On UL versions, only use the supplied mains cables in order to make the
electrical connections.
▶ Check the protective earth conductor and the insulation before the initial
commissioning of the equipment.
▶ Have the gas installation checked by an authorised specialist prior to the
initial commissioning.
▶ The gas system must be subjected to an acceptance test by the responsible
gas grid provider in accordance with the local / national requirements prior
to the initial commissioning.
Note
KaVo supplies gas components released by DVGW. If other gas components
are installed/ retrofitted, they must conform to the local / national require-
ments for gas systems. Only allow authorised specialists to carry out the
planning and installation of the gas system.
▶ Thoroughly rinse the media supply lines at customer premises before con-
necting the FLEXspace® in order to eliminate any contamination or dirt.
