6.6.2 Storing the battery pack
NOTICE
When the battery pack is not in use, it is advised to keep the battery pack connected to the
battery charger (connected to a power source) at all times. When the battery pack is full, the
battery charger automatically switches on and off at regular intervals to keep the battery
level at 100%.
• Store the battery pack in a dry and well-ventilated area. The maximum storage temperature (see
section 3.4) may not be exceeded.
• Make sure the equipment can not fall over during transport.
6.6.3 Shut down
• Close the blades with the blade tips over each other to prevent injury. Do not fully close the blades
so that the tool can be stored without pressure.
• Switch the tool off.
• Remove the battery pack and place it in the battery charger.
6.6.4 Cleaning and storage
• Clean the tool and any accessories before storage.
• Dry the tool if it was used in wet conditions. Apply a thin coat of preservative oil to the external steel
parts.
• Store the tool in a dry and well-ventilated area.
7 Troubleshooting
7.1 General
Consult the Holmatro dealer if the listed solutions do not give the desired result, or in case of other
problems. For malfunctions or repair, always specify the model and serial number of the equipment.
NOTICE
If the battery pack has to be returned to the dealer for repairs, make sure that the battery
pack is packaged according to the specific instructions applicable for Li-Ion battery packs.
See section 8.7.
7.2 The tool does not work when the deadman's handle is operated

Possible cause
The battery condition is poor.
The tool is not activated.
The battery pack is in the sleep mode. This
happens when the tool is not used for about
10 minutes.
The electric motor does not work.

Activate the on/off switch. The green LED should light up.

Solution
• Check the battery condition by pressing the SOC
indicator button. See section 3.6.
• Replace the battery pack by a fully loaded battery
pack.
To activate the battery pack again:
• Press the SOC indicator button, or
• Operate the on/off switch again, or
• Reinstall the battery pack.
Have it repaired by a Holmatro Certified Technician.
