Laser radiation
Never stare into the beam
Laser class 2
USE
Press the on/off button (1) to turn on the
thermometer.
Choose between display in Celsius or
Fahrenheit by pressing button (2).
The symbol (J) for the selected temper-
ature unit will be shown on the display.
Direct the lens towards the area where
the temperature is to be measured.
Press the on/off button (2) and hold it
in.
While the temperature is being meas-
ured, the symbol SCAN (B) will be
shown on the display.
When you release the on/off button,
the symbol HOLD (A) will appear on the
display to show that the measurement
has concluded. You can read the tem-
perature (K) on the display.
The thermometer turns off automatical-
ly after 20 seconds.
Laser
The thermometer measures using an
invisible infrared beam.
In order to know precisely where the
measurement is being taken, turn the
laser beam on by pressing button (4).
The laser on icon (C) is shown on the
display.
The measurement point will now be
marked with a shining dot from the
laser beam. The dot must not be larger
than the point to be measured. If it is,
move closer to the measurement point.
If it is important to have a very accurate
temperature, the object must be at least
twice as big as the dot.
