1. SAFETY WARNINGS
� This appliance is not intended for being used by children from 0 to 8 years old. This ap-
pliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabiliti es, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instructi on concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should not play with the appliance. Clean-
ing and maintenance shall not be performed by children.
� For additi onal protecti on, the installati on of a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operati ng current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical cir-
cuit. Ask your installer for advice.
� This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external ti mer or separate
remote-control system.
� Only the appropriate connector must be used.
� Do not use att achments not recommended or supplied for this product.
� Use the iron for its intended purpose, for ironing fabrics on board.
� To protect against burns or injury to persons, do not iron or steam fabrics while being
worn on the body.
� The iron should always be turned OFF before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never
pull cord to disconnect from outlet, instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
� Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Allow the iron to cool completely before stor-
ing it.
� Always disconnect from the electrical outlet for fi lling or emptying water and when it
is not in use.
� To avoide risk of electric shock, do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron
has been dropped or damaged. For repair, take it to an authorized service center.
� Close supervision is necessary for this appliance being used by or near children. Do not
leave the iron unatt ended while connected or on an ironing board.
� Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Hot water may leak
from the iron. Use cauti on when fi lling or turning the steam iron upside down.
� To protect against burns or injury to persons, do not direct steam toward the body
when ironing.
� The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its
stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
