Mobile RFID devices

Before using the basic device or the respective
components in the vicinity of medical devices (e.g.
pacemaker), consult a doctor or the manufacturer of the
medical devices about the risks.
Excessive sound pressure from earphones, headphones or
headsets can cause hearing loss.
Basic device of the mobile RFID devices
Camera flash (only for BIS V-830-3-011-B-001 and
BIS V-830-3-011-B-002) and scanning beam may cause
retinal damage if they meet the eyes of a person or animal.
Therefore, never point the device at a person or animal.
Only operate the touchscreen using your fingertips or an
appropriate touch pen. Never use a pen or other pointed
objects!
If metal shavings or other conductive parts get into the
battery compartment, the basic device must be switched
off straight away and cleaned.
Remove the battery if the basic device is not used for a
prolonged period.
Rechargeable batteries
Only use batteries approved by Balluff.

prolonged period.
The battery for the basic device is a lithium-ion battery.
Lithium-ion batteries can explode if they are exposed to fire
or heat. The battery cannot be disassembled and exposed
to fire or heat (> 60 °C).
A protective device is integrated in the battery to avoid
deep discharging. This prevents deep discharge at normal
operating conditions. Empty batteries should be charged
promptly in order to prevent further deep discharge
through self-discharge.
The life of the battery is heavily dependent on the individual
usage profile. As soon as the battery runtime becomes
significantly shorter, the battery should be replaced.
Replace damaged batteries without undue delay.
Only leave the battery in the charging and transmission
box for the charging process. Remove it again afterwards.
Laser (only for BIS V-830-3-011-B-001 and
BIS V-830-3-011-B-002)
The basic devices BIS V-830-3-011-B-001 and
BIS V-830-3-011-B-002 are a product of Laser Class 2
and comply with EN 60825-1:2014.
In order to avoid eye damage, do not look directly into the
laser beam.
