Maintenance and care
Remove the battery before maintenance and care.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact your ECHO dealer.

Maintenance and care
Risk of electric shock or fire. Do not use conducting ma-
terials to clean battery or battery compartment.

Depress battery latch release slide battery out of power
head.
2.
Use compressed air or a soft bristle brush to remove debris
from battery and battery compartment.

Do not allow dust to enter oil tank.
2.
A clogged oil filter will affect the normal lubricating system.
3.
Pick it up through oil filling hole with a piece of steel wire or
the like.
4.
If the oil filter is dirty, clean it or replace it.
5.
When the inside of the oil tank gets dirty, it can be cleaned
the oil tank.
6.
Put the oil filter in the position shown in the figure.
7.
Remove dirt attached to O ring and thread of oil tank cap.
IMPORTANT
Do not degrease brake drums and brake bands. After
cleaning, apply a thin oil between the brake drum and
the brake band.
NOTE
When replacing guide bar or saw chain, ask your ECHO
dealer.

Clean before using.
Clean the groove of the guide bar with a small screw driver, for
example.
Clean oil holes with a wire.
2.
Reverse guide bar periodically.
3.
Check sprocket and clean the bar mount area before instal-
lation of the guide bar.
Replace either or both if worn.
